February 1, 2010: Tuesday night.

February 1, 2011: Tuesday afternoon. The beginning of the snowstorm. So the worst snowstorm in many, many years headed our way Tuesday afternoon. First prediction was 23 inches of snow. It started Tuesday afternoon and it was crazy. It was very windy and snowing like crazy. Winds got up to 65mph and we eve had thunder & lightening in the middle of the blizzard last night (this apparently is called thunder snow). This is the worst it has snowed since we moved here 6 years ago. The worst we have gotten since I moved here was about 6 inches all in one evening. I even got stuck at work for that one. Thank goodness my work called for snow days Tuesday and Wednesday. Patrick worked Tuesday morning and actually did not have any more work to do and was home by about noon. It was perfect calm before the storm. About 3pm it started and did not stop until this morning. We were all home safe and sound with plenty of food and things to keep us busy. We have had power the entire time also, Thank God! Overall pretty crazy and just thought I would share some pics of it. Thank goodness my mom did not decided to come visit this week.....whew!
